The Grand Opening of the Sea Isle City Library was held this afternoon. It is an amazing place and well worth a visit or two! The first floor has several meeting rooms and is also the new home of the Sea Isle City Musuem. The second floor is home to the library itself and has seating by the back deck that overlooks the marsh. They will offer coffee so you can sit and read while enjoying the scenery. Channel 6 was there so you can probably see more video on the news this evening. The library is open Monday and Wednesday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Casting for Recovery is a non-profit organization that provides women the opportunity to learn to fly fish and meet with other survivors for a weekend retreat. This past weekend we held our 3rd Annual Casting for Recovery Retreat. As the Retreat Leader, survivor and past participant, words are hard to describe all of the emotions of the weekend. It is not just learning to fly fish. These women are all bonding and learning from each other. One participant said she had goose bumps on top of goose bumps-and not because she was cold! Another simply said “Awesome” and it was. The team of volunteers works throughout the year to make it the most memorable, pampered weekend possible for each lady.
